MODULE 1 : INTRODUCTION & OVERVIEW
For all the aspiring and professional Interior Designers and retailers, the course is designed to empower you with various creative, practical and technical aspects of Interior Design and Design Styles. MODULE 2 : INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN STYLE & HISTORY
In this topic, we will be looking at a few basics of Interior Design Styles where in I will be guiding you step by step towards coming closer to understanding what a design style is. And also, we will be looking into the history of this style where we will know how these styles came into existence and what made them change.
MODULE 3 : TRENDS AND ATTRIBUTE
In this Topic, we will be looking at the attributes, that is the characteristics of different design styles and how they were achieved and its implementation. Also, we shall be studying how trends came into existence and how they kept on changing from time to time.
MODULE 4 : MODERN & MID CENTURY MODERN
This topic will show light onto 2 basic design styles which are quite simple, easy and commonly known to all. We will be understanding what a modern style is, its period, its features and how both these styles are inter-related and different from one another.
MODULE 5 : CONTEMPORY & MINIMALIST
This topic will showcase 2 such beautiful and trending styles which according to a lot of designers and bloggers, can never go out of style. These are the 2 styles which can be blended with any other design style and still look fabulous. We will understand how a contemporary and a minimalist style works and learn about its features in depth.
MODULE 6 : SHABBY CHIC
In this topic, we shall learn in depth about what a shabby Chic style is, how it got this name and why is it such a famous style. We will also dig into where it came from, whom is it more suitable for and its traits.
MODULE 7 : INDUSTRIAL & RUSTIC
This topic will showcase 2 more very smart, raw and trending styles which according to a lot of designers and bloggers, and are always in trend. These styles also can be blended with any other design style and still look fabulous. We will understand how an Industrial and a rustic style works and learn about its characteristics, differences and similarities in detail.
MODULE 8 : TRADITIONAL AND TRANSITIONAL STYLE
These are 2 such beautiful and evergreen design styles which are loved by all. In this topic, we shall understand these styles, their working, how to use them, where to use them and how to give your place a luxurious look by applying its characteristics. We will also learn about the inter-relation of these 2 styles and also, how they came into existence.
MODULE 9 : BOHEMIAN & MEDITERRANEAN STYLE
In this topic, we shall learn in depth about the Bohemian and Mediterranean styles and why they are been looked up to and used around the world. We will also dig into their origins and where these styles are more suited. We shall also understand their characteristics and the reasons behind their being.
MODULE 10 : BOLLYWOOD & HOLLYWOOD GLAM
In this topic we will throw light on to what a Glam style is, how it came into existence and what is features are. These 2 styles are a class apart from all other styles and have specific kind of clientele. We will also help you understand why this is so and how to design a space using this style.
MODULE 11 : COASTAL \ HAMPTONS \ NAUTICAL STYLE
In this topic, we shall learn in depth about what a Coastal style is and why is it such a famous style. We will also dig into where it came from, what are the differences between the 3 and what its similarities are. We will also help you understand its basic features and how to decorate any space in this style.
MODULE 12 : CLASSICAL STYLE ( GOTHIC, ENGLISH, BAROQUE,GREEK,ROMAN,GERMAN,VICTORIAN, EGYPTICIAN)
This wonderful and one of the basic styles will give you a period feel and a periodic look to your space. All the different styles in this one Classical style will be defined along with their traits and how they came into existence.
MODULE 13 : THE CONSTRUCTIVISIM \ CRAFT STYLE
In this topic, we shall learn in depth about these 2 styles and why they have been given this name and what is its relevance and also why are been looked up to and used around the world. We will also dig into their origins and also understand their characteristics. We shall also understand the differences and similarities between them.
MODULE 14 : THE VINTAGE & RETRO STYLE
These are 2 extremely evergreen design styles which are loved by all. In this topic, we shall understand these styles, their working, how to use them, where to use them and how to give your place a rich and a wow effect by applying its characteristics. We will also learn about their existence till date.
MODULE 15 : THE ART NOUVEAU & ART DECO STYLE
In this topic we will throw light on to what these 2 styles are, how they came into existence and their features. These 2 styles are very different as well as similar to each other and what are their specifications, where they are used. We will also help you understand why this is so and how to design a space using this style.
MODULE 16 : THE AFRICIAN & MOROCCAN STYLE
In this topic, we shall learn in depth about the African and Moroccan styles and why they are so much in trend around the world. We will also dig into their origins and where these styles are more suited. We shall also understand their characteristics and the reasons behind their being.
MODULE 17 : THE AVANT GARDE STYLE
In this topic, we shall learn in depth about what this style is, how it got this name and how famous it is. We will also dig into its origin, its traits and what makes it stand out from the rest.
MODULE 18 : ASIAN ZEN
In this topic, we shall understand this style and its characteristics, its origin and also, why is it that this style is becoming a trend today? We will also understand what are its features and specialities.
MODULE 19: UNDERSTANDING STYLES & STYLING - PREDICTIONS & FORECAST
In this Topic, we will be looking at all the styles we learnt so far, and how to style them, decorate them so as to fit them into their particular time period and to avoid the space to look out of place or gaudy. Also, we shall be studying how predictions and forecasting came into existence and how they work in Interiors.
MODULE 20 : BLENDING & ORNAMENTATION
In this topic, we will be understanding how to blend different styles and how to ornament or decorate these styles appropriately. Also, we shall be looking into the basic factors that made these design styles and then what made them disappear and re-appear in different forms in the coming years. And the last part will be a small fun quiz to help you understand how to create a questionnaire for your clients to help them get a better idea of their taste and the style they would really be comfortable with.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
A design style is something that reflects you or your liking, feeling or character. A design is what you incorporate from something you have seen or felt in some place, for example an inspiration.
Understanding these styles, their history and characteristics can build you a foundation in the field of designing for life. Any individual who wants to start their career as an interior designer, architect, or a set designer must have sound knowledge about these styles, their various blends and how each style is interrelated as well as different from each other.
This course has access to more than 25 different styles and their various blends. It also covers the introduction and the need for styling any space, how trends came into picture and why and what are the factors that make them change from time to time. It also covers the ways in which these trends can be predicted each season or year.
You shall also be introduced to styles that hail from a particular period and how to style a space appropriately using some of its features such as colour, ornamentation etc. And at the end you will also get to go through a design styles quiz which is constructed in a way so that a person can judge their own tastes and preferences and finalise on one or more styles for their space.
Individuals will also get acquainted with different career prospects of styling their space and giving it the look of their dreams.
