WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

In this Course you will learn how the body moves, body movement, and balancing the body using the Plumb Line. You will learn the industry standard "9-Heads Croqui". We start with a simple exercise with a pencil and learn how to achieve different "shading" effects depending on how you are holding the pencil. You will also learn sketching Facial Features, Fitted Clothes, Loose Clothes, Designing & Rendering etc. You will also look at inspiration as a way to influence Designing: fashion inspiration, using a "fashion diary and/or journal" - creating a "pool" from which to draw ideas from will definitely affect your ability to draw new fashion designs. You will learn garment closure: difference between womenswear and menswear button closure.

In this Course students will learn below subjects:

Module 1: ELEMENTS OF DESIGN: In this we will be covering everything about color schemes, Colors principles, Silhouette, forms and body parts etc

Module 2 : DRAPING: In this we will be learning draping of basic bodice, skirts, circular skirt, pleast bustier, cascade top etc

Module 3: BUSINESS OF FASHION : In this we will be learning Types of Fashion Business, Management Plan, Product and Service Plan, Financial Plan, Brick and Mortar Plan etc

Module 4: EMBROIDERY: In this you will be learning Tracing of Design, Cording, Couching, Fly, Feather, Herrignbone, Beads and Zardozi work, Ribbon work ect

Module 5 : ILLUSTRATION : In this you will be learning Mechanical Croquis, Sketching side poses, facial features, Ethnic wear, loose clothes, winter wear, wedding wear, bead wear etc.

Module 6 : SURFACE ORNAMENTATION: In this you will be learning basics of tie and dye, shibori technique, variatoon of smocking, Batik, Block Printing, Stencil Printing etc

Module 7 : PATTERN MAKING : In this you will be learning How to take body measurements, Basic kurti and Sleeves, Finishes of necklines, Chudidaar, patiyaala, palazzo etc.

Module 8: BASICS OF TEXTILES: In this you will be learning Introduction to textiles, Fibre Classification , Cotton Processing, Linen Processing, Jute processing etc

Module 9 : BASICS OF KNITS: In this you will be learning Introduction to knitting, slip and cast on, knitting, Purl stitch, Knitting U, Rib Pattern, Addition of Colors etc.

Module 10 : GARMENT CONSTRUCTION : In this you will be learning to basic kurti with sleeves, basic salwar, chudidaar, palazza, basic skirt and waist band, umbrella skirt with elastic and a lot more.

Module 11 : FASHION FORECASTING : In this you will be learning street style, bloggers and fashion influencers, creating mood boards etc

Module 12 : KIDS WEAR : The children’s fashion designing course will include the basics of stitching and pattern making, designing of garments for kids of all ages as well as simple ornamentation techniques like applique work and basic embroidery.
